Rachel Craven is a textile designer who lives and works in Echo Park, CA. Daughter of 2 painters, she grew up in the arts focused neighborhood of Tribeca and later attended The School of Visual Arts. After school, a stint as a fashion stylist took her to Los Angeles where she transitioned back to painting and design - her influences ranging from Marimekko to Agnes Martin. These influences, combined with an interest in geometric design, led to her current line of textiles - a vibrant collection currently being featured by Heath Ceramics' Los Angeles. She co organizes the Echo Park Craft Fair with Beatrice Valenzuela, a Los Angeles artist collective which will be traveling to the Beautiful Dreamers store in Williamsburg Brooklyn in February, 2012.

"My Circles, Arrows and Dots collection marries my attraction to bright geometric pattern with my love for the tactile qualities of linen- combined I find the effect vibrant, comforting and subtly seductive.".
